Earthquake 6.9 On The Richter Scale In California, United States

An earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter Scale (SR) rocked the state of California, United States. According to the United States Geological Survey, an earthquake measuring 6.9 Richter occurred at a depth of 32.3 kilometers. The Associated Press reported, the earthquake at 15:40 pm, Sunday (4 / 5) U.S. time or at 05:40 pm, Monday (5 / 4) was felt strongly in downtown Los Angeles and San Diego. Vibration felt in the areas of southern California and Arizona.

The epicenter at 32.093 north latitude and 115.249 west longitude. The quake was located 26 km to the southwest of Guadalupe Victoria, Baja California. In Los Angeles, Fire Department issued a status of an earthquake. There are currently no reports casualties or damage caused by this earthquake.

A policeman in Yuma, Arizona, said the quake was very strong but no damage reports. Police also received several reports, especially related to alarm companies that ring.(VivaNews)
